Interactocracy

It is time for governments to be closer to the people. The technology of the internet offers several routes to this goal, but the key really must be starting at lower levels and growing outward. The seed that must be planted is direct communication between representatives and the people. An easy way to implement this is to establish a populous poll site run by the government that allows people to communicate through multipartisoned surveys that both educate people briefly on possible actions being taken and then allows the person to select and submit their view from among the possible actions. This obviously can't immediately be a voting process, but will instead put data in front of the representative that can give them more confidence that they are doing what the people need them to do. With or without this idea there must be further initiatives to give universal access to the internet. Poverty or lack of education should not keep swimmers from the ocean. We are not I, it is together that we must be.
